Ovens tend to fail at the worst moment: the day before a birthday, an hour before guests, in the middle of a holiday roast. 911 Appliance Services takes oven calls 24/7. A dispatcher asks what the oven is doing, tells you what is safe to try, and books a technician as early as routing allows. We take oven calls from homes across Miami and the rest of Miami-Dade.
Call (786) 980-9422 or send the form on this page. Tell us if the oven is gas or electric and what you see on the display.

3. Checks the safety parts — the thermal fuse or high-limit switch and the temperature sensor.
4. Tests the controls — relays, selector and display.
5. Inspects the door, hinges and gasket.

You hear the diagnosis and the plan for your oven before any work begins.

After a storm and a power interruption, ovens with electronic controls sometimes come back with a blank display or an error. Constant humidity also works on control boards and connections over the years. If your oven acted up after the power came back, tell the dispatcher; it helps narrow the diagnosis.
An oven tends to fail at the worst time. A few days before a big meal, run this quick check so there are no surprises:
If something is off, call early. It is much easier to book a visit two days ahead than the morning of the dinner.
A convection oven has a fan at the back that moves hot air around the food. On many models a third heating element sits behind the fan. When the convection fan stops, the oven still heats but bakes unevenly. When the convection element fails, the oven may take longer to heat in convection mode or not heat in that mode at all. Noise from the back of the oven usually means a worn fan motor or a loose blade. These are all common, repairable faults.
Many condo kitchens have built-in wall ovens and cooktops from premium brands. The oven sits in the cabinetry, and some repairs mean sliding it out of its opening. Our technicians do that with care, and in a condo building we plan the visit around the service elevator and building hours.
Many ovens drift a little over the years, and recipes are forgiving. A difference of a few degrees is normal. A difference large enough to change baking times, burn the bottoms or leave the center raw is not. Our technicians measure the real temperature at several points during heating, check the sensor and decide whether the oven needs a new part or a calibration. Many controls allow a small offset adjustment, which is described in the manual; if the offset is already at its limit, a part is usually failing.
